The Need
A nonprofit theater needed a more dynamic and strategic approach to their social media presence. Their goals were to promote events effectively, foster community engagement with their online audience, and increase ticket sales and donations.
The Approach
I collaborated with the theater’s longtime staff and volunteers to analyze past content performance and identify what resonated most with their audience. Using this insight and research into successful strategies from similar performance venues, I developed content guidelines tailored to their goals.
I regularly created, scheduled, and posted diverse content, including photos, videos, and graphics, on Instagram and Facebook. In addition to managing daily content, I monitored accounts to engage with followers, respond to comments, and collaborate with other local accounts through tagging and partnerships.
To maximize visibility and ROI, I set goals for paid advertising, identified high-performing posts to boost, and managed a $350 quarterly ad budget. I tracked and reported performance metrics, adjusted strategies based on trends in follower growth and engagement, and continuously tailored content to align with emerging trends and audience behavior.
The Results
In just three months, I achieved significant growth:
Facebook: 25% increase in followers and 98% increase in reach.
Instagram: 190% increase in followers and 402% increase in reach.
These results were accomplished with a modest advertising budget, demonstrating the effectiveness of a well-researched and strategic content plan.
Pro Ultimate Frisbee Social Media Management

The Need
A semi-professional ultimate frisbee team sought long-term social media management to achieve several goals: effectively promote events, raise awareness about their mission, highlight the visibility of women and nonbinary athletes, and increase ticket and merchandise sales.
The Approach
The team consistently produces high-quality visual media through their livestream video team and photographer, which provided a strong foundation for content creation. I focused on posting regularly, using engaging photos paired with thoughtful and relevant captions to maximize audience interest.
To enhance engagement, I edited highlight reels from livestream videos and tailored them for platform-specific formats. I also designed visually appealing, detail-rich graphics to promote upcoming events, ensuring key information was clear without overshadowing the imagery.
To further personalize the team’s content, I encouraged players to appear on camera for interviews, which were posted as videos or written features. Additionally, I monitored social media accounts to engage with followers, respond to comments, and collaborate with partner accounts to expand visibility.
Collaboration with the Premier Ultimate League was a critical part of my strategy. I coordinated content releases with their league-wide schedule and ensured alignment on shared posts, such as gameday roster announcements.
The Results
Over the past year, I focused heavily on Instagram and achieved the following results:
Reach: Increased by 129%
Content Interactions: Increased by 100%
Link Clicks: Increased by 743%
One key goal for the organization was to produce viral content. I succeeded in achieving this, with two self-produced Instagram videos and one TikTok video each surpassing 30,000 views.
Notably, all growth and engagement were achieved organically, as the team did not have a budget for paid advertisements.
